List of Users for an Application

Hi all

I would like to know if there is any facility available in JDE which can provide an answer to question ; Who has access to a particular application? I am sure most of you must have came across with this type of query from your System users or sometimes external auditors.

these type of questions mostly relate to the security of the ERP system.

Any type of feedback will be highly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Hi Dalip,

There is no direct report or application which provides list of users for
an application . The reason being the securities are placed on group level
and could be overridden at user level. So the user falls under those groups
will have access to that application unless it is overridden at particular
user level.

Users who fall under public group is also have the access to that
application .

So in summary you need to look at the security work bench as well as user
profile table in JDE to arrive at the list.
Normally we prepare it in excel after exporting from jde database or else
there is a possibility to design UBE to fetch from JDE tables & format it
with some event rules. You need to understand the JDE security architecture
to design such report.

You can find out when some signed on and off from the file System /F9312
which is read by the APPL GH9052>P98OWSEC "User SecurityForm exit
"Security History but I could not find the equivalent of the menu history in
World.

If you use the method of securing to *all, then granting authority to
specific applications, you might try the following:
Open Security Workbench, do a Find to show all, sort the grid by
application, export to an Excel spreadsheet. You may want to filter out
other types of security, like action security.

Of course, this assumes you have access to the Security Workbench to start
with.

Our auditors were happy with this.

I should have mentioned that I also export to spreadsheet a list of users by
group, and add this as a second worksheet in the Excel file.

I haven't tried it, but am pretty sure I could write a sequel over both
files for a combined report. Just hasn't been worth the time yet.
