Emergency Order

Has anyone done any work on developing any procedures to
handle an emergency sales order. By that I mean any specific
process and/or procedures to expedite an order through the system.
Thanks in advance.

Sure, Bert. Write it down on a piece of paper, give it to the warehouse
guy, pick and ship. Later, enter it into JDE.

:)

Andy

PS. You really can skip Ship Confirm. And you can print the pick slip
automatically with the subsystem, or with a function key (form exit)in order
entry. That might speed things up.

Re: RE: Emergency Order

Andy, that was my first suggestion to them. Just walk it through and enter it later.m Thanks for the response.

At this time Mike they want it to be as systematic as possible. Thanks for the response.

Your solution then would be to define an order type ad
have the subsystem run the pick program frequently
(every 3 to 5 minutes?) The users would then check
the printer for the pick request and complete the
order. You could even create a version of the pick
that prints a message indicating RUSH or something
similar.
