Limit # of OW active sessions (tasks) on Citrix

When users opens OW on Citrix, they may have several JDE sessions (tasks) open, causing perfomance problems.
We want to limit # of active sessions per user. We had seen users with 8 or more OW sessions active same time.

TKS :

You may configure Citrix that after N minutes of inactivity (idle) that
sessions disconnects
or resets (logoff).
A given user can't be working on 8 sessions at the same time, some of them
surely are crashed
sessions or failed attempts to login that remain lingering over there.

Do you mean that they have several Citrix sessions open, each with OneWorld running, or do you mean that they have one Citrix session open, with the same OneWorld application open several times?

If it's #1, it's more of a Windows problem, trying to limit the users to only be able to log in once.

If it's #2, the user's are probably experiencing memory violation problems from having multiple copies of the same application open. Unfortunately, I don't know of a way to fix this in OneWorld, except to educate the users that they shouldn't open multiple instances of the same application, or memory violations will occur.

Clarification on my previous reply:

MetaFrame XP, Feature Release 1 has a feature for Connection Control, limiting the number of concurrent connections for a given user or application.

The problem is that JDE officially does not support MetaFrame XP, FR1. There were bugs in the video redraw, and Citrix was supposed to be working on a fix. In the meantime, Feature Release 2 is due soon ...
