JDE Standard Version Security issue

Hi List,

all my JDE standard versions (XJDE, ZJDE) got version security set to 1. This prevents users from changing for instance the processing options on these versions when they try over bv or iv.

BUT when they right click on a menu selection, choose "Prompt For" "Values" they are able to change secured Standard JDE versions.

I've tried PO security, but there is no difference between Standard JDE and custom versions.
I've tried row security on F983051 for XJDE0000-ZJDE9999 but this also prevents that versions from running while updating last executed date.

Has somebody similar issues?

Regards, Michel

Exactly what is your question are you not wanting them to change these versions or are you wanting them to have access to then.

If you don't want them to change these versions remove them from the menu that way they will have a lost of versions to choose or create your own versions and tie them to your menus...which is what JDE recomends.

Michel,

In security workbench, you can turn off access to processing options for
that program for that user group.
