capturing demand from sold to

Our company has a situation where we have 20 customer service offices and or distribution sites. Currently JDE captures sales history from the ship from location which works out fine for those customer service offices which are not shipping points. However, the majority of locations are shipping points and sometimes there is a need to ship material from other locations. Demand should be captured from the sold from location not the ship from location in this situation. Does anyone else have this situation and how did you resolve the issue?

We have a similiar situation. Our BP's ship to customers in different sales channels. We assign these customers to "revenue" business units and track which warehouse a given ship-to is usually serviced by in a related address. The MCU on F4201 carries the revenue bu and the MCU on the F4211 carries the shipping BP. We've modified (yeah - I know...) P4210 to make this transparent to the user and placed a similiar mod into R42800.

We've completed CRP with this concept and will bring it on line in Sept. Hope that helps.
