In my AS400, there are 30 libraries with names like :

J1W_001506
J1W_001537
etc.

Anyone know what those are.

Are those what your packages are called? Whenever you make a package a library is created on the '400 for that package.

No, I have other name convension on packages

Here are some of the stuff in the libraries :

BD3N4201
BD3N4202

Hmmmm....strange stuff. We don't have those in our '400. We too are on SP14...and I don't see those libraries on our '400. Have you searched KG?

Couldn't find anything in KG. Wonder if I can delete them.

Do you have any DSI software installed, it seems to me that I saw those libraries on an install that used DSI.

Hi Edwin,

I think these are temporary libraries created during package build. They normally get deleted but sometimes if the package build fails, they do not get deleted properly. It is okay to delete them. I was a client that had about 50 of those libraries on his AS/400, wasting disk space.

why don't you try SAVLIB'ing one library, delete the library and see what
happens? if it goes pear shaped you can always RSTLIB it.

They are from partal Package builds. I have seen them at most clients sites. You should be able to just delete them with no issues. I have always deleted them in the past.

OH yeah, I make sure there is a backup first.

Kyle

Thanks.

Back in the OneWorld B732.1 release that I work on, these are the temporary libraries that OneWorld creates when you are build an update or partial package. You can delete them and not have any issues. However if you feel more comfortable - save them off to tape and then delete them (just to be on the safe side).

I have a bunch of BD3* objects as well but in libraries other than what you
listed and I have the specific objects you've listed below. These are
*MODULE object Types with CLE attributes. These can be deleted????
