User Overrides and MDAC version

I was reading the KG document OTT-02-0028 (User User Overrides) and came
across the statement, "After SP16...Another important aspect of the
change to user overrides, is that you must be on IE 5.5 SP2 along with
MDAC 2.6. This is necessary due to an updated/commonly shared Microsoft
dll that OW uses".

We are using Win2000 PCs SP2 which is loaded with MDAC 2.5 SP2. Has
anyone experienced any problems with user overrides and not using MDAC
2.6 but a lower version?

We are on MDAC 2.5 Xe SP 18.1 IE 5.5 or greater and we still occasionally get user overrides issues.

I personally don't think MDAC or IE is the fix because when we were on SP 16.1 we had overrieds issues daily we tried testing with IE 5.5 and MDAC 5.6 and that did not do a thing.

Since I applied SP 18.1 the problem is much much less, it's not gone but it a whole lot better.

We are on SP18.1 with MDAC 2.6 and are not experiencing as many problems as we were before. I do not believe this is the total fix, but it did help us some.

Do you have Citrix Servers.....and have you installed MDAC 2.6 on them. I have 3 Citrix servers running NT 4.0 Meta Frame 1.8
