Address Book Import

Dear All,

We are in the processs of implementing JDE. I need to import all address
book entries to JDE tables. Could anyone help me with
1. MS Excel Format for Address books
2. Tools to export to JDE

There is a Z file process for this. Just populate the Z table and run the associated UBE. Populate the table how ever you see fit I've used MSAccess in the past.

Benoy - I am away from my desk at the moment (enjoying the warm Idaho
sun).... I'll find the actual documentation - Monday when I am in the
office.

I believe the interoperability file you need to place you AB data into is
F0101Z1(or Z2).
The UBE - from memory of about six months ago - is R0101Z2.

You can look through the Help Documentation (PDFs) and get a pretty good
detailed explanation.

I found your earlier post and thought I would post a question. We are on JDE OneWorld B7333. I have a project to take data from either EXCEL or ACCESS and import into the JDE Address Book. Is there any written documentation for this specific that I can obtain quickly to keep me on the right track?

I inherited this responsibility and have little or no JDE documentation.

If you use SQL Server you can use the DTS function to transfer data to the
address book. You must know what you are doing 100% on both sides. The DTS
can be accessed via SQL Enterprise Manager.

The document 'used to' be in the knowledge Gungle - but nowadaze, nobody can find things there.

Use the search criteria of the F0101Z1 or F0101Z2 (per earlier reference) and see if that gets you further.

If not - I can look in my old mail folders and identify the document and/or see if I still have it in the pst(s)...
