Promoting APPL through OMW

Please will you help me with an OMW issue.
Basically I cannot promote APPL from 21 to 26, although it works
fine for UBEs and BSVWs. The error I get is 154V, "Manditory Transfer
Activity Rules Exists". The tranfer rules are no different for APPLs ,
UBEs and BSVWs. They are the standard ones.
In Allowed Actions, Orginator, SuperUser and Developer have Project
Status = *ALL for Object Type = *ALL, with the standard Rules.

Here's this information extracted into screen prints and Excel
spreadsheets.

Hi Bob,
Looks like you have a transfer rule for APPL setup in your OMC where the 'Mandatory Flag' is set to 1 and 'To Location' is invalid . Switch that flag off for all other destinations other than the one that you need and the error should vanish.

Have you checked your activity rules in the Object Configuration Management screen (P98230)...Look at the activity for an APPL from 21 to 26. Amke sure you have an allowed action to do so for your user group.

I hope this helps.

Robert :

Isn't anyone holding the token for the APPL you want to transfer?

Sebastian

Hi
Also check your rules for User Overrides (UO) as they must be transferred
when you transfer an APPL. I had this same problem a few weeks ago and had
to disable the rule for UOs.

I wish JDE would make the error messages more descriptive and told you
which rule it is complaining about.

Cheers
Kieran

Make sure that a activity rule is not inactive and mandatory. I had the same problem and by removing the mandatory flag from the inactive activity rules solved the problem. There is also a issue with regard to the UO activity rule in XE (default mappings shipped with XE) in that it is mapped to the control tables datasource instead of the central objects datasource - this displays a different error but I thought it would be worth mentioning

cheers
