Documentations

G'day! Is there any documentation that I can find to help me sort out how a
specific JDE program does the work aside from reading the entire code? or
any alternate option I can do to understand JDE programs. I need to know
any documentation (books, websites, technical references) Thank you in
advance!

www.JDEList.com has technical books on JDE for sale at a discount. For
applications start reading the user guides and take some of the application
training from JDE. If you have specific questions about a particular
program, post your question to JDEList. Also, somewhere on this page is a
mention of another website that some have found helpful.

Re: RE: Documentations

Besides the books mentioned you can also go to a menu and type the word Help then the menu Option number.
this will give you some more information on the program.

I do not know of any really good technical book.

In addition, to print the help text for any program on a menu or not, try
Menu option 5/G91 "Instructions". This will run Job J98870, a DW over the
F98HELP file

Alain,

The documentation CD for the World software has some pretty good information
in the technical section. There are a limited number of JDE program types
generated by the CASE tool, so if you've seen one (of a type) you've pretty
much seen them all.

There is also a book which was discussed on this list some time ago: JDE
World Software -- An Administrator's Guide that is a bit easier to read than
the dry JDE documentation. It doesn't cover everything, but nothing does.

Here's a link to the book:
