Install ES & Data S

I just want to ask, when I installing Enterprise Server and Data server, with Oracle DB, must be on ES install any database? I mean, must there be database with data such as server – map and system - B733 data? Or can be everything stored in database on Data Server?

And if there must be some data, which data exactly must be on ES and which can be on another servers?

Martin,

there's no reason why the database instance (oracle) must be on the same box as the OW logic (Enterprise) server. They may share the same box or be on two different ones.

We're running the database on one box and the logic on two other boxes (and then using three others as web servers and another as the deployment server)
The only problem we've had is in what to call the ORACLE box
