OneWorld Product Packaging on Menu Gh962 - P9640

We are attempting to create a product package and are having issues in the
process. The process has about 21 different steps to complete before it
finishes. We are getting to step 12 "ASU v/s Package Validation"; the step
always fails. I am very curious why it is failing. We have look at the
various logs and have not seen a anything in the logs. We have talked with
JDE and they, are surprisingly, bum fuzzled. Question does anyone know when
one is using a workstation with a CDRW CDROM, will the install process for
the workstation add folders titled, "CD Templates" and "CD Burner Client
Install"? Or is this process unique to the deployment server when it has a
CDRW? If anyone has experience with this issue please let me know and
perhaps we can take this off-line. Thanks

Hi Scott

We use Product Packaging regularly. Are you on Xe or B7332?
Product Packaging is a small nightmare in B7332 but quite painless in Xe.

The process works best on a fat Client. It will create three folders under your Temp Folder (Temp is defined in your system variables) - Data Master and Final. It will also create a folder that you define in the Product Package setup (usually x:\CDImage).

The folder CD Templates on your deployment server is used by Product packaging to copy various files to the Workstation.

It's difficult to help more until I know what your system config is.

Terry
