Hi Rpaz,

The brand of the hardware doesn't matter. It is the type of hardware (i.e Processor Intel vs Celeron, Memory Manufacturer vs generic, HDD, etc....) I have several clients on Dell as well as IBM, Compaq, HP, and a couple of clones.

We are a complete Dell shop in terms of OneWorld, currently 10 servers and
counting, and have got no complaints whatsoever. We use 6450's for our
Enterprise servers and 2550's for almost everything else (Citrix,
Deployment, XPIe/x etc).

As far as we could tell the others just couldn't compete in terms of price.

Thank's Robby...

Someone sent me the Following DELL configuration for the enterprise server:

One server with 2 XEON processors at 2Ghz with 2Mb of cache, 1.5GB RAM and
200GB Hard disk

I think it's a good configuration.

Hi there!

We're currently running our Enterprise server on a PE 2400 2x667 Mhz processors and 1 gig ram, Deployment is a PE 2400 2x700 w/ 512meg Ram. We are currently upgrading our Enterprise server to a PE 6400 w/ 2 gigs of RAM. We've had no problems related to the hardware. (Actually, since we're located just south of Austin, TX Dell was a natural choice and all our NT servers are Dells. Makes administration easy.) We get great tech support from them and the 4-hour service contract is VERY handy. (We had a SCSI drive go down in an array on another server and they hand-delivered one in 2 hours from our original call - during rush hour!) Good luck!
