Payment Terms on Items

Is there any way to tie payment terms to an item.
Example:
Regular terms Net60 All Items
New terms 5% price discount and Net90 on new items for
45 day introduction period.

Pricing discount is simple need help with payment
terms.

NT4.0, SQL7.0,OW, SP17.1

I have not tried this but there is a Preference
Profile for Payment Terms that might work. It appears
to be at the item level.

There is a preference profile (01) for payment terms you may wish to try. It allows you to define payment terms by item, item group, customer, customer group or a combination there of.
