Data Conversion from B732.1 to XE

I am involved in a project to upgrade from OneWorld B732.1 Co-existant to OneWorld XE Co-existant in an AS/400 environment. We presently have a running OneWorld XE JD, DV and PY environment and are about to enter into a round of full system testing (testing OneWorld XE and our custom mods running together). The facilitate this test, we need to update the date in the PY7333 environment with fresh data from our B732.1 production environment.

What is the best way to do this? By the book I am supposed to do a "Data Only" conversion using the Planner tools...is there another way that is easier?

Dave,

doing a table conversion "by the book" IS the easy way to do it, beleive
me. TC is a very complex process. From B732 to Xe there are hundreds of
database changes, many new tables, many new indexes, old indexes got
dropped and then many changed tables.

I just did a full B7321 to Xe upgrade. It´s not so hard. The manual is
pretty good. When you get to the table conversion itself, do not
chose "Convert all". Do the TC step by step, one table at a time. Each
time read the logs, read the PDFs, check the database if the conversion
was done, etc .

Good luck, Gerd

Thanks for the advise...I'll follow it! Just thought I'd check to see what my options were.
