The thread was closed, because it was going nowhere.
Some light-hearted bantering and exchanges of experiences are fine, but I believe escalation into something more nasty was becoming a distinct possibility. The JDElist is an exchange and information forum, not a political forum.

And, by the way, No, JDE was definitely not getting involved.
