loading system database components

List,

During a brand new Xe installation, we run loadall to load central objects
and R98403 as part of a plan loads the business data / control tables etc to
populate the environments. What populates the tables in the system database
? Is it done as part of the installation workbench - where does the source
of the system tables come from ?

There is a version of R98403 XJDE0023 that is to 'restore system tables' but
it's source and destination datasources are both 'System - B7333'. Has
anyone used this version before ?

Hi Andy,

System tables get populated during the installation workbench. Some of the table get populated during the environmnet creation workbench, the machine workbench, additional workbench.

In releases of OW prior to B733, you used to have to run "Release Master" in the planner off the exit bar. Since B733 it's been incorporated to run at part of the workbench. If you look under your plan under "additional tasks" there are some F0092 tasks there that are resposible for creating and populating system tables. The system tables come from both Jdeplan and Jdeb7 databases. You can run the release master manually by going into P00945 Release Master, selecting your current release and clicking Configure (probably not a good idea to do on a live system).
