Hi List,
I'm looking at implementing a document management system that integrates
well with JDE.
Documents to scan
----------------------------
AR&AP invoices + various contracts.
Volume
-----------
Initially just contracts, so low, but eventually thousands a
Functionality
------------------
* pop up relevant scanned invoice images on demand from within JDE, and from
an external 'browser' pref. html.
* indexing through some sort of OCR option and allow searches based on the
resulting keywords.
* Workflow, so that invoices could go through some sort of electronic
approval through an authorisation route, similar to the way purchasing
works. This would be ideal if it could be done through Outlook.
S/W H/W
--------------
* I'd prefer it to be open i.e. not proprietary, so it uses standard image
files e.g. tiff /jpg
* for the s/w not to have to have a particular piece of hardware.
* We currently have Optica as a global preferred supplier, but we can go
with anyone if deemed better.
If anyone has gone through this process and can give me some feedback it
would really be appreciated.
