JDELIST Forum changes

JDEList is predominately a technical forum. I would be great if we had some application forums too. To do this, we are considering the following changes

JDEList Discussions would become JDEList Technical Discussions
The boards: One World / XE, One World / Xe Developers, and World would remain.

We would add forum: JDEList Applications Discussions
with a new board: One World / Xe and World

Re: JDEList Forum changes

Hi Eric

I Fully agree.
A little while ago I suggested this as well (re: Choosing a form). However other users' reactions were "luke warm".

It seems most regular visitors are "techo's" and I wonder if other users are maybe discouraged or intimidated. By offering a special forum for apps and business processes we may encourage new users to participate.

Re: JDEList Forum changes

I think this is a good idea. As the volume of messages grows, this would help keep users from becoming overwhelmed weeding thru the search results. Also, given some of the short Subjects, the discussion group would imply what the message content is about.

Re: JDEList Forum changes

Hi Eric,

Great idea. Many application consultants/users do not use JDELIST because they find it too technical or too much about CNC issues. This will be bring a different audience to the list.

By the way, good job with the list. It is a very useful tool to do our job. Thanks.

Merry Christmas to all.
