Here is a response from Mike Bennett on the list that I saved concerning =
this subject:

Mike Bennett wrote >
You can't change the name of the output file your report creates. What =
you
will need to do is in the End Section of your reports controlling =
section
you will need to perform a couple of Delete or Copy Flat file business
functions (B4700230).

e.g. Your database output is being created in c:\temp\outfile1.txt

In your End Section, you would use the above BF to copy
c:\temp\outfile1.txt to the file name your user has specified in the
processing options. Then use the above BF
to delete the original outfile1.txt file. This has the added
benefit of allowing your user to run this report at any stage without
having to remember to remove the original output file so that data is
not appended to it.

The cActionOnFlatFiles tells the BF whether your copying or deleting a =
file.
A value of 1 will delete and 2 will copy.

This should do what you want.

Re: Table Conversion File Name

While you can use "Delete or Copy File" function to change output file (if it's a flat file), OneWorld unfortunately doesn't let you change the input file.

Re: Table Conversion File Name

If you want to use a variable input file, just create a ow file, and
use that for input to table conversions, but copy your variable name
file into the ow file at the start of the conversion, possibly using a
batch file??? You should be able to copy a variable file into your ow
file giving you a consistent input file for your table convetor.
