Print out of User Securities

Hi,

Has anyone attempted to print out a listing of all the securities that has
been set up in JDE?

We have set up menu security, action code security, cost centre security,
etc.

Recently, the auditors asked for a listing of the various options that a
user can access.

As far as I know, there's no standard report for this. I'm really
scratching my head to figure out whether it's possible to come out with such
a report.

Anyone has any idea how this can be done?

Thanks!

May

Yes, you're right. There is no standard report; however, I have created one
using World Writer (or a query tools like ShowCase). I used this in my past
life as an I.S. Auditor.

The key to it is populating the PPAT field on the User Information Screen
(P0092) with the user's address book number. At that point, you can link
the F0092 to the F0101, and run reports with the type of data that you are
looking for, sorted by company OR business unit. You can then create other
reports that will link to business unit security, or function key security.

If this is the type of report you desire let me know, and I can give you
the specifics.

May,

A possible start for you would be to download the User/Program/Menu Cross
Reference from the JDEList web site.

I've gone one step further, since the PPAT is used
for the Purchasing approval and there are a few "group" approvers set up in
our company. The PPAT is set to a group id rather than the individual's
PPAT - thus a direct connect to the address book was not possible.

I have defined a supplemental data type (UI)
associated with the address book and enter the user id and the date the
account was created with the individual's address book record. I can then
add any comments attached to the user id. We use Strategy to create the
reports. It is a pain to get to the generic text associated with the
supplemental data - but worth the effort.

I also create an address book record for JDE group
id's and non employee accounts. I then use the text associated with the
supplemental data item UI to keep note of why the group and/or the non
employee account was created.

If you create a file with from the DSPUSRPRF
command, you can then complete the loop and link in the IBM account
information as well.

If you would clarification or additional detail, you
can e-mail me directly.

I would definatly get the
"User/Program/Menu Cross Reference"
Contributed by Doug Belcher

that is on the JDEList.com Web site.
(click the downloads link)

I seem to end up using this set of programs at least weekly for different information. Doug has done a great job with it.

As a quick and dirty solution can you use G94 option #9 review user?

Hello.

You are right. There is no standard report of this
sort available. You need to build the reports on
individual files where security data gets maintained.

Joining of these files may not be possible.
