Re: Memory Allocation

OK - well I cannot guarantee a solution (who can...!) - but I have seen
similar issues especially with POE and SOE under very heavy loads (the
interactive programs still call the same MBF).

What happens is that there is a limit to the number of Cursors on the
JDECache memory - this cursor should be dropped between each line, but
there were some issues in the JDECache.DLL (or equivalent for AS400) that
were fixed in a service pack. My guess is that SP10 for B7332 is
relatively early (approximately Feb of this year). Looking through the
service pack list - I see there are a number of "corrections" to SP10 that
address memory violation issues, so I think this might be the correct path.

I would therefore suggest that you move to a later Service Pack - SP11.2 is
now available - and from what I understand, pretty stable. I have read on
this list a few issues with installing SP13.1 onto B7332 - though I may be
berated for saying this :)

You do need to constantly plan for Service Pack upgrades as much as
possible - they are relatively fast to install (my company installs them in
1 day and charges a fixed fee for doing it) - and it will keep you ahead of
the issues. Just don't be first in line to install the service pack !!!!

Looking through
the service pack list - I see there are a number of
"corrections" to SP10 that address memory violation issues, so
I think this might be the correct path.

I would therefore suggest that you move to a later Service Pack - SP11.2
is now available - and from what I understand, pretty stable. I
have read on this list a few issues with installing SP13.1 onto B7332 -
though I may be berated for saying this :)

You do need to constantly plan for Service Pack upgrades as much as
possible - they are relatively fast to install (my company installs them
in 1 day and charges a fixed fee for doing it) - and it will keep you
ahead of the issues. Just don't be first in line to install the
service pack !!!!

RE: Memory Allocation

Thanks Jon,
We are supposed to have latest service pack this weekend so
I'll tell you Monday if it helps or not.
