JDE OW Reporting Database

I have a 50GB JDE OW production database (with continued growth), I have to create a Reporting database with most (if not all) of the data from production in order to offload the main production system from huge reports.

I know of several alternatives, but I would like to know what solutions other companies have come up with to deal with this problem?
