Display Decimals Update

Hi everyone,

I have a request from our functional team to update the Display Deciamls value from 0 to 2 in the data dictionary. I was wondering if anyone has done this and what their experiences with this was.

Reference Document ID: ott-01-0015

Questions that I have are:
1. Will an ASU or ESU override the changes?
2. Anyone experience any problems with doing this and, if so, what are they?
3. There seems to be a data conversion program for QNTY data (R30QNTY), but what about for QTYINV?

Currently, OneWorld is not running in our production environment. We're just doing the functional setup right now with minimal data that needs to be converted.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Environment: Xe, SP16.1, Update 2, JAS, NT Intel, SQL 7.0

Hi,
I reply just since this issue haven't been replied for a longer time.
Our CNC guys have done it already on some installations, following the instuctions of the ott-01-0015 documentation. We also changed the display decimals for QNTY which is not belongs to the QTYINV group. We have changed QNTY directly in the Data Dictionary application.
As far as I know, we did it always on empty databases still now.

This issue appeared more times in the past on the Forums/Lists and if my memory serves me well, somebody shared a script (or offered to send it in e-mail) for converting existing datas accordingly to the decimal changes.

Please, search the archives on the Forum for both XE Forum. My search tips are:

1.) "display decimal" as content
2.) "update decimal" as content
3.) "change decimal" as content
4.) "owguru" as User

I hope, you will find lot of usefull information.

That's all from me.

Regards,
Zoltán
