I'm working on Base/Standard Pricing rules on my laptop with Demo Jr. =
I'm trying to configure costs using Item and Customer groups but I'm =
having some trouble with the customer groups. Here is what I've done.

1. Add Item group name to the UDC table
2. Add Item Pricing Rule with several levels
3. Add Group name to UDC table
4. I went into Setup Customer Pricing Rules and selected my inventory =
price group and then hit the customer rules in the row exit.
5. I put my customer group name in the customer price group box and hit =
apply level in the row exit. It turns the row I've selected pink (nice =
color). When I enter a sales order, I don't get any price discounts. =
I've added the inventory group name to the item and item/branch records =
and the customer group name to the customer in CBI. Also, when I go back =
into Setup Customer Pricing Rules, it does not show the level as =
applied.

Am I missing a step in applying the level or something else?

Thanks,

Why aren't you using Advanced Pricing? I haven't used Base/Standard pricing
for 6 years, and haven't missed it at all. Advanced Pricing is much more
flexible and powerful. Once you get the hang of it you won't want to go
back.

Perhaps the dates on your order are before the dates in your pricing set-up?
