Resizing a BI Field on the layout

Hi list,

Hopefully a very quick question on how do to the following.

Basically the XML tag name is way longer than the actual value I will want to display.
In my case CRCD
So it will USD for example but my RTF template has the text CurrencyCodeto_ID251

So final output will be just 'XXX' yet my RTF template layout has a variable that looks like 'XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX' on the template

I am required to produce a layout with about 6 fields in a line

Thing is when I add the XML tag for the field it is too long to enable me to join more than about 4 or 5 end to end

so is there anyway I can make the XML tag any smaller to fit more data on the line?

Hope that makes sense?

PS: I am using MS word 2003 to edit the RTF template

double click, up pops properties

Data field = CurrencycodeTo_ID251
Text to Display = 'whatever I want'

I added CRCD and it's made the smaller enabling me to add more fields on the line
