RD with dynamic template selection possible?

Please advice on below..
let's assume following..
1)we have RD with having 2 XML Objects(RTF templates) Template 1 and Template2 attached to it.
2)we have attached RD to two version's(Version_1 and Version_2) of same UBE.
3)When I ran any UBE version it will creates two outputs,but my requirement is as below
====when I ran UBE version_1 it should print only Template_1 output and same as when I ran UBE Version_2 it should print only Template_2 output.....so is there any way to achieve such scenario in BI???=========

Note: I don't want to create separate RD object and attached separate Template to it then attaching that to UBE version separately.

May I suggest creating 1 template and have 2 subtemplates in that template? depending of the ube version that called the template you call a sub template with an IF or CHOOSE statement.
