Enterprise Server at Remote Location

Hi,

I was asked to investigate setting up an enterprise server and a SQL2008 data server at a remote office. Can anyone point me to some Oracle documentation on how to configure the servers? I've installed and configured enterprise and data servers before, but not configured syncronization between servers.

Do any CNC gurus have advice?

Are you considering using this as a mirrored system. If you are then you will have to get some type of third party package to replicate the data across to the secondary system.

Are you looking for complete instant syncronization like a mirror or just reporting at the second site where uni-directional log file shipping might be enough to keep things in step?

I think this is a good direction. Maybe Data Replication per table or if you use a SAN try SAN replication.
I think the idea of having the data close is suggested. The BSFN timeouts would be to great with a remote data server.
