All Call Obj Kernels go to Zombie when clearing database cache

All,

We are using Tools 8.98.3.1, Release 9.0
Logic and UBE servers are running on Windows 2008R2
Database is on iSeries V6R1

In clearing the server cache, all call object kernels go to zombie state.

Has anyone else experience this with a similar configuration. I'm not able to find anything posted on Oracle's website stating this to be a known issue, but I'm still searching.

Many thanks,
jay

Jay,

We too had the issue, but not all CO's would go zombie, just one or two. Unfortunatly the fix is a different tools release, we went to 8.98.3.4 and the issue no longer occurs.

Tom,

Thank you for the feedback.

I'm hoping Oracle support can provide a one off patch or similar as we are in no position to upgrade to a different tools release.

Jay

fyi..

This is a known issue:

Bug 11048227: RESET CACHE KILLS COB KERNEL - SAR: 8968256

Oracle will provide us with a POC bug fix to apply.

Lucky man. They told us we needed to go to another Tools Release, no POC would be made available.
