WAS7 Express

Hi...

Wondering if anyone could tell me where can I download WAS7 Express, as it's not listed on edelivery.oracle.com, or if it has been repleaced with something else; How do I need to install/configure the egenerator machine for WAS7?

The only place I've seen it is from IBM itself. Oracle's response to this issue is that since they aren't going to be selling the IBM Technical Foundation stuff as an option anymore, they will not be supplying anything beyond what they currently have out there.

The suggestion for those who need to use WAS Express for local web development PCs and generation machines is to use WAS Express 6.1, and copy the Java 1.6 files from your WAS 7.0 installation. I have used this combination before, and it does work for generating serialized objects.

P.S. If you really want to get WAS Express 7, you'll have to have a customer ID from IBM, and register on their web site, before they will let you download it. Either that or have a friend willing to loan you a copy.
