Deployment Server Upgrade

We are analyzing to upgrade our development server. We wanted to know which is the best hardware configuration for a new server, to be able to run W2K8, Visual Studio C++ 2008, TR 8.98.4.x and above.

We have today 20 fat clients, which 5 strong developers. E1 8.12 - TR 8.98.2.4

This what I have got from Oracle side as a MTR for deployment server.

Hardware Requirements

· Contact your specific hardware representative for optimal system configurations.

· Sizing information is provided by the hardware representatives.

· It is critical to check with your hardware vendor for sizing requirements when upgrading from XE or ERP 8 to EnterpriseOne 8.9x release.

· Oracle highly recommends that the server be dedicated to EnterpriseOne 8.9x deployment (and optionally, Server Manager).

· For optimum performance Oracle recommends the following minimum hardware configuration.

CPU : Dual-core, 2 GHz x86 or x86-64 processor

Memory : 2 GB

Disk : 5 GB for Oracle Database installation in addition to space for JDE E1 data
