JDESNET won´t start after tools upgrade to 8.98.41

Hi folks,

I upgraded my lab Windows ES from 8.98 tools to 8.98.41. I uploaded the software via SM and hit the change button for my ES. I saw that SM created a backup my old system folder and left for the day.

This morning I found that the services won´t come up any more. Tried to reinstall jdesnet.exe but I only get a message

"The system cannot execute the specified program." .

Best thing is that I cannot find the backup any more. Does SM remove the backup?

Any ideas short of re-installing the ES from scratch ?

Well, since it's Windows, you don't have to do a complete reinstall. Hopefully the SM Agent is still running, and you can install the Tools Release again from there. The rest of the files and directories under DDP are intact, right? I think the only major inconvenience is having to recreate all the JDE.INI settings.

It was something different, Windows DLLs for a change. I downloaded a thing called vcredist_x86.exe and now my services installed.
