Not able to install update package.

All of a sudden I cannot deploy or install any updaet packagies to some Fat Clients - can deploy same package to other Fat Clients - getting message "The selected update package's pathcode is not compatible with any of the pathcodes currently installed on this machine".

Full packages work fine.

We are on E1 9.0 TR 8.98.2.2, AS400 V6R1....any ideas?

This error gets thrown when the update package you are trying to install is not based on the current package that is installed.

Look at your \jdever\pathcode\spec\spec.ini to find out what full has been installed.

Open the Registry and go to the HKEY_Local_Machine > Software > JDEdwards > OneWorld > Install.ini > E900 folder. There should be a key called PathCodes. The value of this key will be the path codes that are installed on that machine and you'll probably see a bunch of duplicates. Try cleaning this up by specifing which ones you have installed and remove the duplicates. Your entry might look like "DV900, PY900, PD900". I've had this error happen a couple times in the past and this has usually taken care of it.
