Hi we are running old version of JDE B7332.

our deployment server went down few months ago. hard drive crashed. all we have is backup of some files. Deployment server was used only for deployment or developement. so still our JDE system is up and running.

now we have all the CDs to instal the deployment server. but with the available authorization Code we are not able to install it.

Any idea?

thanks in advance.

Have you tried changing the Release Level field of the SPC Self Service application from 7 to something lower?

The SPC code generator provided on the Oracle license site will not generate codes for B7332. Per licensecodes.oracle.com:

"You may generate codes for releases XE SP17.1 and later, ERP8.0, EnterpriseOne 8.9/8.10/8.11. If you are currently using an earlier release such as B73.3.2 and earlier, please contact the Global Support Center for JD Edwards EnterpriseOne products."

I dealt with a client on B7332 in 2009 who was no longer on JDE maintenance and whose SPC code had expired. It took a few weeks of back-and-forth with the Oracle support centre to get them to successfully generate an SPC code. While the client was not on maintenance they were legally entitled to continue to run the system they had purchased. First they had to convince support that they legally owned the software by providing a copy of their JDE license agreement. After that there was a lot of trial and error as the support analyst attempted to use two versions of the SPC code generator. Eventually they had to provide a proof-of-concept JDEKRNL.dll for the deployment server that included code from XE SP17 to get the SPC code to work.

You will need to contact support for the SPC code (If you do not have a CSI to allow you to use online support you can email [email protected]). If they run into issues trying to generate a code for you have them take a look at Service Request 3-917566553. That contains the details of the various things they had to do for my client to make the SPC code work.
