Hello everyone, first of all i will introduce myself, my name is federico, and i am currently working as a tech consultant for an IT company located in Buenos Aires, Argentina, i have recently found this forum, and i was hoping someone could point to me , wich are the main security differences, between JDE 8.0 (7334) and 9.0, i know that the 2 versions are very different from each other in many aspects.

Thanks everyone,

I would recomend going to edelivery.oracle.com and downloading the 8.98 Tools Guides. It is a great reference for all things CNC related and should contain the information you're looking for here.

Hola Frederico.

Welcome to JDElist. If you are a subscriber to the Jdetips Journal (www.jdetips.com), look for two articles on JDE security best practices. Those articles should answer your questions fairly well.

Saludos,

The main difference is that ERP8 uses groups and roles and 9.0 uses just roles. There are whitepapers accessible from our website too.
