Here are some of the most requested topics from our H.U.G. Client/Customer members future Educational Breakout Sessions at our Quarterly Meetings of the General Membership of the Houston Regional Users Group for Oracle JD Edwards and PeopleSoft Users, H.U.G?

H.U.G. Client/Customer members on Oracle JD Edwards EnterpriseOne have submitted requests for Educational Breakout Sessions on EnterpriseOne 9.0 features such as:

1. HCM enhanced self-service i.e. EE scheduling & time/labor

2. SRM optimization ensuring best quality/price for goods, services

3. Operational Sourcing automates obtaining & awarding bids after RFP.

4. RFI issuance

5. CRM enhancements to drive greater visibility to customer service operations.

6. SCM enhancements i.e. shipment sequencing enabling OEM suppliers to deliver to mfg. prod lines in sequence parts are required;

7. FA enhancements for accounting, registration requirements; new modules for Food and Beverage i.e. blend mgmt, grower mgmt., grower pricing/payments.

8. Testimonials from H.U.G. Client/Customer members who has gone to E1 9.0 and what challenges they faced; lessons learned, tips & tricks as well as new functionality introduced in that release primarily focused on the Finance & Supply Chain modules.

9. Presentation on UPK. In particular its use during an upgrade project, then its use in on-going training. Are the canned modules worth the money? Is UPK worth the money?

10. Shared Best Education Practices along the lines of how companies go about determining who, when, how much and what on ERP use training (or training during upgrade too). How do you measure this?

11. Presentation from non-training types about the importance of ERP training in general.

H.U.G. Client/Customer members on Oracle JD Edwards World have submitted requests for Educational Breakout Sessions on World A9.1 features such as:

1. Project Resource Planning Workbench.

2. Upgrades to newest version of World

H.U.G. Client/Customer members on Oracle PeopleSoft Enterprise have submitted requests for Educational Breakout Sessions on PeopleSoft 9.1 features such as:

1. What features/improvements have been added to PeopleSoft 9.1 for recruitment module (i.e., Candidate Gateway, TAM, eRecruit, or whatever it is called)?

2. What issues have surfaced for those who are early upgraders on PeopleSoft 9.1 for recruitment? I've noticed a few comments from early upgraders through LinkedIn groups as follows:

a. On occasions when an applicant enters all profile information, some of the data is missing to be inserted into the HRS_APP_PROFILE table. When an applicant completes the application, the page message says that, "you have submitted the application successfully", which should tie back to the job opening. But it not actually saving or inserting anything so the applicant's information is not viewable by the recruiters.

3. Several issues with TAM on interview scheduling, screening, etc. For example, the Scheduling Assistant is very slow sometimes and not user friendly. At times, recruiters may have to shut down Outlook 2007 and restart it to communicate with PeopleSoft.

a. Have these been addressed by Oracle in subsequent bundles to fix these and other issues that have surfaced?

4. More information on the core profile and how the other modules (i.e., ELM, ePerformance, Career Planning, Succession Planning, etc.) integrate with the core profile.
