All,

I'm pretty sure this has been discussed here, but can't find the right thread.

I have a user that is using cut and paste to a grid (such as BOM) the first paste works fine, when you do the second, IE just closes down. No messages, nothing.

We do have the registry hacks for number of processes, etc.

E1 8.12, Tools 8.98.3.4, IE 7

As soon as I hit 'Post' this came in in e-mail:

The user does get a message from IE: Request could not be processed. HTTP error: 500: Internal Server Error

From this I deduce that a bad requsest is going to the server. Anyone else having this issue?

Tom,

here's my opinion for the little its worth on this subject.

Cut and paste into grids, while popular for users, is fraught with potential problems. If the source (excel?) does not exactly match the user's grid format - problems will occur, varying in size and scope.
Another thing - not all edits/events fire when pasting into a grid.

So my suggestion is to sit with your problem user and check the source and destinations to make sure they match up - cell by cell.

Larry,

I hate your suggestion, but deep down I know your right

I'll schedule a trip there soon. At least it has to be warmer in St Louis than in Milwaukee. Now if I can just get a user in Jamaica to have the issue

and I thought a 100 yard jaunt to a user's desk is a long trip!
