I have done a request for a customer whereby there is a default value changes in a DD and requested a Web-Generation of this DD.
I browse to Local DDict through UTB on Admin workstation and noticed that the changes which the consultant did was not reflected in it. However, when I open Data Dictionary interactive program, the default value is reflected correctly as what has been changed.
Initially I doubt if the Web-Generation will be success as my local specs of this DD is not correct. However, I am surprised that after the Web-Generation, it's reflected correctly on the applications.
With this, I am confused on how Web-Generation is being done. During objects deployment, I will always get my local admin workstation installed with the objects only then I will do the Web-Generation. Says, if the Web-Generation is not based on local pathcode, then this steps may not be required? Can anyone enlighten me on this? Thanks.
