Control Users Setting Default Printer

I'm pretty sure I know the answer to this one, but looking for other ideas. We need to restrict our users where the can only set their own default printer(s). P98616 defaults *PUBLIC. If it defaulted their UserId we're set, I just need to apply column security. Do I need to have a new version created just to make the UserId the default, or is there easier way?

I don't know an "easy" way. I know the standard way:
1. User does not have access to P98616
2. CNC creates Default Printers for User, if the default *PUBLIC printer is not good enough
PS Why doesn't any JDE Lister publish the Interview FAQ?

That's what we thought. We were hoping to allow users to setup their own default printers, but they'll just have to pull up the reports and print them manually.
