Error in import - Servlet error An exception occurred the current application deployment descriptors do not aloow for includi

Hi All,

Users are getting "Servlet error An exception occurred the current application deployment descriptors do not aloow for including it in" this message came up when a user trying to import.
We recently upgraded our tool release to 8.98 after that the issue came.

Thanks.

[Windows/JDE 8.11/8.98]

How many rows are you trying to import? 8.98.3 imposed limits again on the number of rows that can be imported. You have to manually edit JAS.INI to change the default limit of 500 rows.

What level of 8.98 did you install?

Hi,

We are using the 8.982.3 Tools release on Oracle App server 10.1.3.4 on Windows Server 2008. We recently upgraded from Tools 8.96.
Hope this helps.

First, correcting an earlier error, the default number of rows that can be imported, starting with TR 8.98.3.0, is 250, not 500. This default is supposed to increase to 1,000 with TR 8.98.4.0.

The setting must be edited manually in JAS.INI by adding the line GridImportRowLimit under [OWWEB]. The setting becomes available under Server Manager starting with 8.98.3.3.

Unfortunately, none of this helps you, because the limit is not supposed to be there in TR 8.98.2.3.

I'm wondering ... with the big jump in Tools Release levels from 8.96.x to 8.98.2.3, did you reinstall the ActiveX controls? There is a difference between the 2, and you might want to make sure the newer one is there.
