Using BIP with iSeries application

We use an Order Management application that is hosted on the iSeries and interfaced with EnterpriseOne. Our shipping and invoicing is all done in this appl. We are considering implementing BI Publisher but are uncertain how to interface it with our Shipping and Invoicing documents.

The output from this application is an AS400 spoolfile. The database is (of course) DB2/400. Has anyone tried used any 3rd party tools to convert either to XML input for BI Publisher?
