In Output Que(Create Form 3) some of the jobs are going into error state, when I check the Printers error log I am getting the following error message.

08/05/10 07:14:04,00000000,0010,ISA425001PB3,Merge engine failed
08/05/10 07:14:04,00000000,0020,ISA425001PB3,Job 'R5859312_AFCER022S_Broker1_BCEREUR_426052_QS-17061159' failed (id 17508) 5;53;71;5;

I will be glad if someone throws light on this. Thanks in Advance.

Need more info to find out why its failing:
- What specific version of Cform Server are your running? (3.1.0? 3.2.0? 3.2.21?)
- Has this form project failed before? (is it a new form project?)
- Is the logging level set to the highest level? (errors, warnings, success, info)
- Is the form project directory correct for this printer in Cform Server 3.x?
- If you enable 'print unmerged document' on the printer in Cform Server 3.x does it then print?
- Was the correct printer chosen in JDE (a Cform Printer) when the job was first run?
- Has this particular type of job ever worked from JDE?

There can be many reasons why a form project fails to merge with the incoming PDF.

Hello, I am new to the site. Use Form Designer Create and server version 3.1.60 to print from JD Edwards One World. Produces a. Ps then convert the PDF distiller. In all projects, in different printers, always, sometimes it works sometimes it creates error "Merge Engine Failed" with different ID. Log file, it locks the job in the printer and I have to restart the print spooler and then press properly. Do you have any idea to solve the problem?

I think it has something to do with the structure or content of the JDE PDF file that CformServer is trying to process. The CformDesigner project is not configured in a way to handle to input file properly and causes the job to fail and/or hang.

I've seen this type of behavior when a "blank" job comes out of JDE. A blank job is either one that says "No Data Selected" or a completely blank page. When the problem happens what does the original JDE PDF look like?

Karen.
