Time Basis in a Routing Attached to a WO - OW B73.3.2

Hi List,

When I attach the std. routing (type M) to a work order, the program
calculate the run time (machine and hours) base on the Time Basis, that is
fine up to there. When I change the time basis to the routing attached to
the WO, the program does not recalculate the run time.

Is this suppose to work that way or there is a SAR out there that could help
me?

Thanks,

Victor

Hi Victor,
What you mean "recalculate" ?
If you target the leadtime in WO header, it calculated based on the setup in B/P and you need to change the basis code in B/P also.
Hope this helps !

Hi John,

The thing here is that we are dealing with a molding machine with different
cavities to produce diffent products at the same time. What we want is for
the system to adjust the routing std. run machine time according to the
number of cavities (we are using the time basis code as the no. of
cavities). For that, we were expecting that the system will do it when we
change the time basis in the routing attached to the WO.

The system calculate the correct run machine time when you attached the std.
routing with the std. time basis (we don't want that because that will take
us as many alternative routing as cavities combinations) but when you try to
change it in the attached routing for the program to recalculate the time,
it does not work.

Hope this will give you a better idea of the issue.

Thanks,

Victor

It is working as designed. The work order routing will not recalculate machine, labor or setup time if you change anything manually. In your example, you're changing the TB code after the routing has been attach, it will not recalculate run times.
