OAS patch 5669155

Hi folks,

I am installing E900 for the fist time and I'm kind of stuck with the patch application for the OAS.

My servers are all Windows. When I run setup.exe (from the patch/disk1 folder) it asks me about Source, Name and Path on the first screen. Source is pretty much self evident, but Name and Path I do not understand what it is supposed to be.

I tried several combinations. Or it says that the "Oracle home already exists" or it says that there are "no patches to be applied".

What am I missing?

What Oracle Application Server do you want to install?
If you want install OAS 10.1.3.4 you can skip installation of patch 5669155. You have to install only OAS 10.1.3.1 + 10.1.3.4 patch


However if you want install patch because you want install only OAS 10.1.3.1, on screen try to select only Oracle_Home where you have installed OAS 10.1.3.1 previously

Is that the patch number (10.0.3.4)? I cannot find it as such. If not, do you have the patch number?

Step to install OAS 10.1.3.4

1) Install Oracle Application Server 10g R3 (10.1.3.1.0).
2) Upgrade Oracle Application Server 10g R3 to 10.1.3.4.0 using patchset 7272722.

Only one note
Note: Windows 2008 x64 (64 bit) is supported with patchset 10.1.3.4 or higher. Before applying the 10.1.3.4 (patchset 7272722), customers must first install the base 10.1.3.x products using the following patches:
- 10.1.3.1.0 SOA requires patch 6712338 to resolve the new OS support issue. Please follow the readme instructions to install this patch.
