Using Information/Action Messaging in Workflow for E900

We are using information messaging/Action messaging (which uses Send message extended) to send message to work center. It is not working and work flow ends up with error. Has any one used information messaging in a work flow in E900. This was working back in 8.10 with send message icon and Send message icon is obsolete starting 8.94.

Pl. let me know how to use it in E9.
