General error in advacing a project

Hello All

I am facing an issue in advancing a project from 28 status to 38(Production) status.

I got an error as general error in method,Status Change.

i had easliy advacned the project to 26 status and it was deployed.

Release JDE 8.12

Please provide your valuable suggestions.

#1. Check your jde.log.
#2. Check the OMW log on the project and optionally on the object(s)
Row > Logging > Log Detail > Full Text > Next, Next, Next...

RUN0000059 - Data type in expression does not match the data type of the dictionary item.


The project contains
1) Custom DD item.
2)2 Custom UBE
3)2 Processing option.

Please ask if more information is needed.

Sorry, I do not know, what is the problem.

Just an idea: have you changed the data type of your cutom DD?
If yes, have you do that after you used in your PO template or UBE?

I am also not sure about this as this customization has been done by another developer.

need to check more about this or ask it from the developer.

Can i ask one thing.How can project is moving from 21 status to 26 status?

i am not getting any error at that time this error appears only when move the project from 28 to 38 status.

and owner for this project is user --JDE having PVC admin rights.

Please guide me what to do.

Did you try 28 > 38 promotion immediatelly after the successfull 21 > 26 promotion? With other word, had the developer any chance to change the DD item after 21 > 26 promotion?

Firstly, as you are probably already aware, in a standard OMW setup, promoting an OMW project from 21 to 26 copies "changed" objects from the DV pathcode to the PY pathcode and promoting an OMW project from 28 to 38 copies "changed" objects from the PY pathcode to the PD pathcode.

If there were no changes made between the promotions, then the problem may be with the PD pathcode.

The JDE log will let you know there is an error - but not much more. How many times have you attempted the promotion from 28 to 38? Please provide the OMW log information relating to the first attempt to promote to 28. Also please provide the jdedebug log for the promotion from 28 to 38 (you will need to attemp the promotion again to capture the debug log, if you don't already have it)? This information should let you know which object(s) are causing the problem and may indicate a solution.
