Hi All,
Not sure I am posting on the right spot but ill give it a shot. Were using Web Based JDE, and I recently upgraded my laptop to Windows 7 which comes with IE 8. Everything works fine except when trying to export reports to Adobe Reader or exporting grid data from the data browser to excel. Nothing happens. I am able to export things from other web apps to these applications ok so it seems specificly releated to JDE. Anyone have any ideas?

ITgeek,

Have you checked the pop-up blocker settings? I know I needed to make some adjustments on my browser to allow PDFs to display for our 8.12 environment.

Depending on your service pack it may not be supported, we are on ERP8 SP23X1 and it is not. However there is a work around, under the browser tools you can select "Compatibility View", you may have to add your web site under the "Compatibility View Settings", after setting it up you will at the very least have to restart the browser before the setting take effect.

JDE is not supported for IE 8. You will need uninstall IE8 and
reinstall IE7. This should happen automatically when you uninstall IE8.

For the Adobe reader, there is a setting in Internet tools to disable
automatic downloads. This sometimes happens when updating or upgrading
IE. Here is the path to access the setting:

Internet Tools >> Security Tab >> Custom Level

The setting is about a third of the way down and it is titled DOWNLOADS.
All three should be enabled.

Good luck.

Re: RE: Windows 7 / IE 8

Hi All,
Thanks for the posts. I eventually got it to work, had to mess around with the Active X settings in IE 8 and turn compatiblity mode on. Those two things combined got things working again!

Re: RE: Windows 7 / IE 8

IE8 is supported - depending on the Tools Release.
Additionally you may have to change some settings as KENNEY described.

Ensure you also enable "Allow Meta Refresh". That solved the issue for me!
