jde/undefined

The last couple weeks we have had two users get a "webpage cannot be found" error, error 404, while working in JDE. The reason being is because instead of the web address going to the folder extension jde/owhtml, it tries to go to jde/undefined. The first user that had the issue had a tool bar installed and once we uninstall that the issue went away. The second user that it happened to today doesn't seem to have anything special setup or installed in IE. I took a look at the http access_log and did a search for jde/undefined and I found a ton of messages like below in log. Has anyone ran into this or have any ideas what would be the cause? These message in the log seem to go back quite a way but we have only had two reports of this issue having an effect on users just recently.

10.1.1.177 - - [17/Dec/2009:10:08:48 -0600] "GET http://jde.companyname.com/jde/undefined HTTP/1.1" 404 149

Thanks in advance.

Have you identified other plug-ins in the Manage Add-Ons IE function at the
user's machine? Try disabling all of them and then turn back on one-by-one
until the offending plug-in rears its head J

Good luck!

Is the user clicking on some sort of bookmarked favorite to get there? I have seen it where someone bookmarked the link and then later it changed slightly (maybe the .maf component had a capitalization or something).

No, this isn't a bookmark issue I don't hink. This is happening while they are working in JDE after some time. The few times I have seen it happen is when they are going from application screen to the next.

Can you post the http error.log?

http_plugin.log?

Here's an http_error log. I couldn't find anything close to a http plugin log. If you can point me to the location and file name I will post it. Thanks.

Your problem appears to be here:

"mod_oc4j: Failed to find a failover oc4j process for session request for destination: JasOC4J1 (no island or jgroup)."

Your errors are very similar to what I experienced recently with a WebSphere installation and described here:

PK67161: 6.1: WebSphere Plugin is marking servers down after client side fails

http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg24019451

It appears that for whatever reason, OAS is marking oc4j's as down and you get the "jde/undefined" error just as I did with WAS.

Not sure what the fix is but I would contact Denver on this one.
