Default printer/out queue when running UBE from iSeries

I'm hoping to get some clarification on this.

I have set a default printer (iSeries outq) for a UBE in E1. When the UBE is run within E1, the output is sent to the correct outq on the iSeries. When this UBE is run from the iSeries job scheduler the output does not go to the outq on the iSeries. When I look in Work Submitted Jobs I see the UBE that ran from the iSeries. When I click print the correct printer is shown and the output will then get to the iSeries outq.

Do I need to deploy this version to the server again after assigning a default printer to it? I know if the job queue is changed on a version this is the case, but didn't think it to be necessary for only setting a printer.

I should have checked this first.

I Did some more looking and found out the developer did not set the version to print immediate. So although the job did run with the correct output queue it did not forward the spool file.
