Versions of JDE

Dumb question I know.....but how do you know what version of JDE you are working from. Is there a way for an individual to tell?

If you're running a fat client, this isn't too difficult. In Solution Explorer, click "Help/About EnterpriseOne(OneWorld)" and both the version and the tools release should be displayed.

The tools release (under Xe and prior) isn't always too easy to see - hence you need to also look at the PTF.LOG.

To find the Tools Release, on the other hand, is a little more tricky and can only be done either on the Deployment Server or from a Fat Client.

Navigate to the Deployment Servers' (or Fat Clients') \System\Bin32 directory. Look for "ptf.log" - this text file is updated each time you install a tools release with the version.

If you're running a Web Client on the other hand, all you have to do is to click on "My System Profile" to see the version of E1 you're running.
